Executive order 总统行政命令。奥巴马时期DACA的生效、川普时期对多个国家的旅行禁令等都生效自总统行政命令。

EO的对象一般为政府机构，针对个人的总统令叫proclamation (not EO). 近期关于中国大陆移民的几个行政命令都是Proclamation，如2020年4月22日的【Proclamation Suspending Entry of Immigrants Who Present Risk to the U.S. Labor Market During the Economic Recovery Following the COVID-19 Outbreak】，2020年5月24日的【Proclamation on Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Certain Additional Persons Who Pose a Risk of Transmitting Novel Coronavirus】，以及2020年5月29日的【Proclamation on the Suspension of Entry as Nonimmigrants of Certain Students and Researchers from the People’s Republic of China】.
